Father. Filmmaker. Writer. Technologist. Optimistic Pessimist.
Born and raised in upstate NY, Donald Reynolds dreamed of writing for Marvel and DC Comics as a child. That love of comic book writing gradually evolved into a love of screenwriting. He pursued Communications and Media Arts in college, focusing on Production & Screenwriting.
It wasn’t until living in FL that Donald was able to pursue his passion for filmmaking. After pitching his script PHOBIA to numerous companies, the script was optioned. Eventually known as CLINICAL, the film was in pre-production when a hurricane forced the location scouts and producers out of the location. The area was devastated. The film spent the next year trying to find a new home, as the creatives (above and below the line) left. The option eventually lapsed and Donald wrote a prequel script for a short film.
PHOBIA (The Short) was his 1st short film as writer-director-producer-editor. The film premiered in NYC at the New Filmmakers Film Festival. He has since directed 17 shorts films, produced 30+, with 90+ IMDb credits. His films have had over 70 film screenings around the US.
Donald Reynolds currently resides in North Carolina.
